How to remove a bad driver in Windows

By Paul W. in Hints and Tips | 07/07/2011

If you’ve installed a new device driver in Windows but it doesn’t work, then simply follow this process to remove it.

  • Right-click on My Computer, then left-click on Manage
  • Click on Device Manager
  • Find the problem device, right-click on it and click on Properties
  • Click on the Driver tab and then on the Roll Back Driver button

To complete the process, make sure you restart your computer after removing the driver.
